Directions

From the North, M1 Southbound:

  1. Leave the M1 at junction 10 and take the first exit onto Airport Way A1081.
  2. Keep left and follow signs for St Albans, Harpenden A1081, joining London Road.
  3. Continue on the A1081 towards St Albans for around three quarters of a mile.
  4. Turn right towards Slip End, following signs for Newlands Road or Half Moon Lane as signposted.
  5. At the traffic lights, turn right onto Grove Road.
  6. Take the first left onto the service road signposted Airparks. The car park is on the right after approximately 100 metres.

From the South, M1 Northbound:

  1. Leave the M1 at junction 9 and take the first exit onto the A5183 towards Dunstable.
  2. After around 2 miles, turn right at the traffic lights onto the B4540 towards Luton.
  3. Continue for approximately 1.5 miles into Slip End village.
  4. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Grove Road.
  5. Take the first left onto the service road signposted Airparks. The car park is on the right after approximately 100 metres.

Arrival instructions

  1. Drive up to the entrance barrier, which will lift automatically. At the second barrier, press the green button to enter, your vehicle’s condition will be recorded for safety and security as you arrive.
  2. Park in an arrivals bay and head to the check-in building. Use the self-service machine to check in, have your booking confirmation ready.
  3. The machine will issue a tag and a ticket. Attach the tag to your keys, keep the ticket safe, and place your keys in the key drop box that matches your lane number.
  4. Your car will be parked for you. Make your way to the waiting area and board the transfer bus to the airport, showing your ticket to the driver.

Return instructions

  1. Catch the shuttle bus back to Airparks from bay E (you'll need to show the driver the ticket you were given when you arrived)
  2. Make your way to the check-out shelter and follow the instructions on the key dispenser
  3. The machine will give you your key back and show you on the screen where your car is
  4. Find your car and drive to the exit barrier - you'll need to insert your ticket to scan the barcode attached to your keys, and then the barrier will lift

If you lose your ticket, you'll need to go to reception, answer some security questions, then show a photo ID, so make sure you have one with you.

Vehicle restrictions

  • Maximum vehicle size 2m wide, 2.1m high and 5m long.

  • No high sided vehicles, minibuses, mobile homes, lorries, caravans or trailers.

  • Vehicles exceeding the stated dimensions cannot be accepted.

  • Cars with taxi licence plates can park on site, but cannot use Return Greet or Meet and Greet services.

  • Shuttle bus cannot carry large sporting equipment, passengers should be dropped at the terminal first before driving to Airparks.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Our Flexible booking option offers you the convenience and flexibility you need. Here’s how it works:
    1. Need to Change Your Plans?
      • You can cancel or change your booking up to 24 hours before your parking period begins without any charges.
    2. Parking Period:
      • Your parking period starts at 12:01 AM on the first day of your booked dates, regardless of your pre-booked arrival time.
    3. Important to Note:
      • If you don’t cancel or update your booking at least 24 hours before your parking period begins, we’ll need to charge you for the full booking. Also, please be aware that we can’t offer refunds if you return earlier than planned.
    4. Booking Adjustments:
      • If you make changes to your booking and the price changes, we’ll either charge or refund the difference based on your adjustments.
